1. An experiment was conducted to determine the effect of various levels of sun-cured ladino clover, Robinia pseudo-acacia and Alfalfa leaf meals on the growth, feed consumption, efficiency of feed utilization. 2. In this experiment, White Leghorn female chicks were used for eight (8) weeks; from April 6 to June 1. Fourteen day-old chicks were divided into eight (8) lots: each lot consisting of chicks. Diets containing 0.3, 5, and 10 per cent sun-cured Ladino clover. Robinia pseudo-Acacia leaf meal and 5 per cent of Alfalfa leaf meal were fed to experimental chicks. 3. The ration containing 0 level of leaf meal was composed of 10 per cent of broken rice, 10 per cent of ground wheat, 22 per cent of ground yellow corn, 15 per cent of wheat middling, 13 per cent of rice bran, 10 per cent of syobean oil meal, 10 per cent of fish meal, 5 per cent of dried skinunilk, 0.5 per cent of bone meal, 1 per cent of oystershell and 0.5 per cent of salt. 4. All of the experiments were worked out by the completely randomized design and tested by analysis of variance as to whether they were significantly different or not between the average weights of chicks at weeks of age. There are no significant differences between 3% and 5% of each leaf meals, but highly significant at 1 per cent level between 3% of the Lading clover leaf meal or 5 per cent of each meal and 0% or 10% of each meals. These are low significant differences at 5 per cent level between 3% of the R. P. Acacia leaf meal and 0% or 10% of the other leaf meal, and 5% of the Ladino clover leaf meal and 3% of the R. P. Acacia leaf meal. 5. The results of this experiment show that the Lading clover and R. P. Acacia leaf meal can effectively replace the Alfalfa leaf meal in growing chick ration, and each meal caused progressive depression of growth as the level in ration was increased beyond per cent. 6. All of the leaf meal lots gain more rapidly, consumed more feed than that of the none lot and also these leaf meal lots except the lot of 10% Ladino clover and R. P. Acacia were more efficient on the feed utilization the effect was greater at a leaf meal level of per cent than others. 7. These results main demonstrated the superior yellow pigment producing ability of the sun-cured Ladino cover leaf meal over the Alfalfa leaf and R. P. Acacia leaf meal, and this can be used for the production of broiler with expected shank and skin color.
