The Research on the analysis of the chief complaints of mothers of 511 cases visited to Workkwang Counseling Clinic for Children during 1994-1996 provides a classification system appropriate to the private counseling center and baseline data for understanding and treating children`s problems. Chief Complaints focused on mother`s perception are divided into 28 Main problems(table 2) and 55additional problems. The outcome is as follows : First, the most frequent problems among the main complaints are attention deficit problems, anxiety problems, relationship problems with parents, peer sand sibling. Second, the most frequent additional problems are passive-aggressive problems, attention deficit problems, the method of child rearing. Third, the frequently associated problems with the child`s age, gender, birth order, parents education period, father`s jobs and whether or not mother is working are attention deficit problems, oppositional defiant behaviors, anxiety problems, adjustment problem and relationship problems. Lastly, the additional problems that have high relationships with child age and gender and child`s birth order, parents` education period, father`s job and whether or not mother is working are not only relationship problems with parent and peers but also passive-aggressive problems, infantile behavior problems, attention deficit problems, obssessive habits, and the method of child rearing, etc.
