2025년 11월 16일 제주도 서귀포시 강정동 선녀코지에서 청베도라치과, Rhabdoblennius속에 속하는 1개체 (체장 32.53 mm)가 조간대에서 족대로 채집되었다. 본 개체는 다음의 형태 특성에 따라 국내에 아직 보고되지 않은 Rhabdoblennius nitidus(Günther, 1861)로 확인되었다: 체측에 7개의 어두운 얼룩무늬가 일렬로 존재하고, 등지느러미 기부에 얼룩무늬와 마주보는 짧은 선이 존재하며, 체측에 여러 열의 하얀색 반점이 존재한다. 미토콘드리아 DNA COI 590 bp의 염기서열을 분석한 결과 R. nitidus와 일치하였다. 본 종의 새로운 국명으로 체측 하얀 반점의 존재를 근거하여 ‘흰점베도라치’를 제안한다.

A single specimen of blenny (32.53 mm in standard length) was collected from the tidal pool in Gangjeong-Dong of Jeju-do Island on 16 November 2025. Our specimen was identified as Rhabdoblennius nitidus in having a side of body with seven dark blotches, below dorsal fin base irregular, short, blackish lines, and extending to the dorsal fin base. A total of 590 base pairs sequences of the mitochondrial DNA COI region was analyzed, as a result, we found it completely matched to the Rhabdoblennius nitidus. Accordingly, we provide detailed morphological characteristics of R. nitidus and propose a new Korean name ‘Huin-jeom-bae-do-ra-chi’ for the species.
