최근 생성형 AI를 통한 창작활동이 다양한 결과물로 이어지고 있다. 이 중 하나로 영상 창작 활동이 있다. 최근 유튜브와 같은 소셜미디어에서 광복절, 3.1절과 같은 독립과 관련한 기념일에 생성형 AI로 제작한 영상을 상영하는 사례가 등장했다. 이 영상은 독립을 위해 희생한 과거 인물을 주인공으로 한 영상이다. 영상은 독립운동을 한 인물은 과거 사진을 영상으로 구성하거나, 과거 인물을 현대 사회에 재해석한 2가지 방향으로 구성되어 있다. 이에 이 연구는 2가지 영상의 사례를 애국심과 대체 역사의 콘텐츠로 어떠한 관계를 나타내는지 교차검증 하였다. 실험 결과, 두 유형의 영상에 대한 애국심과 대체 역사의 관계에서 애국심의 문화 상징 요인과 상상력 자극의 관계만 정(+)의 관계를 나타내었다. 이에 광복절, 3.1절 관련 영상에서 우리나라의 문화 상징이 잘 드러날수록 상상력을 자극할 AI 영상으로 긍정적인 평가를 받는다는 것을 확인했다. 이를 통해 광복절, 3.1절과 같은 독립과 관련한 기념일에 AI로 당시 상황을 재현하는 유형의 영상이 애국심에 더욱 영향을 나타내며, 그 시대의 의미로써 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인했다.

Recently, creative activities utilizingGenerative AI have producedvarious outcomes, includingvideo creation. Notably,Generative AI videos commemorating independence-related anniversaries,such as Liberation Day and the March 1stIndependence MovementDay, have been sharedon social media platforms likeYouTube. These videos feature historical figureswho sacrificed for independence, incorporating archivalphotos of independence activistsor reinterpretingthem within amodern context. Thisstudy cross-examinedthe relationship between two such videos, focusing on themesof patriotism and alternative history. The experimental results revealedsignificant connectiononly between the cultural symbol aspectsof patriotism and the stimulation ofimagination in the context ofpatriotism and alternative history for these videos. Specifically,the clearer the representationof Koreancultural symbols in videos related to Liberation Day and the March 1stIndependence MovementDay, the more positivelythe AI-generated videosthat stimulate imagination werereceived. This finding confirmsthat AI-generated videos recreating historical moments on independence anniversaries not only enhance patriotism but also resonatewith contemporary significance.
