프로스포츠 구단은 모기업 의존도를 낮추고 자율적이며 지속가능한 경영구조를 구축하기 위해 다양한 수익원 확보가 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 경기 관람 및 팀 관련 상품·서비스를 구매하는 관중과의 장기적 관계 구축이 필수적이다. 특히 경기장의 생생하고 몰입감 있는 현장 분위기는 관중 만족도와 충성도를 제고하여 재관람 의도로 이어진다. 이러한 맥락에서 경기 시작 전 상영되는 오프닝 영상은 관중의 기대감을 증폭시키고 현장 분위기를 고조시키는 전략적 매체로서 그 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 연구는 프로배구 구단 대한항공 점보스의 오프닝 영상 만족도가 관중의 팀 태도(팀 이미지, 팀 동일시, 팀 인지도, 팀 충성도) 및 관계 지속 의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 오프닝 영상 만족도는 긍정적 팀 태도 형성에 기여하였으며, 이는 관계 지속 의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구 결과는 프로배구 구단이 오프닝 영상을 단순한 연출 요소가 아닌, 팬 경험 증진을 위한 전략적 커뮤니케이션 도구로 활용할 필요가 있음을 시사한다. 이는 개별 구단의 장기적 성장과 경쟁력 강화는 물론, 프로배구 리그 전체의 활성화에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
Professional sports teams need to secure diverse revenue streams to reduce dependence on parent companies and establish autonomous and sustainable management structures. To achieve this, building long-term relationships with spectators who attend games and purchase team-related merchandise and services is essential. In particular, the vibrant and immersive atmosphere of the stadium enhances spectator satisfaction and loyalty, leading to repeat attendance intentions. In this context, opening videos shown before games have gained prominence as strategic media that amplify spectator anticipation and intensify the on-site atmosphere. This study empirically examined the effects of spectator satisfaction with the opening video of the professional volleyball team Korean Air Jumbos on team attitudes (team image, team identification, team awareness, and team loyalty) and relationship continuation intention. The analysis revealed that satisfaction with the opening video contributed to the formation of positive team attitudes, which in turn exerted a significant positive influence on relationship continuation intention. These findings suggest that professional volleyball teams should utilize opening videos not merely as presentational elements but as strategic communication tools to enhance the fan experience. This approach is expected to contribute not only to the long-term growth and competitiveness of individual teams but also to the overall revitalization of the professional volleyball league.
