본 연구는 양극성 장애 증상을 지닌 개인의 정서조절을 돕기 위해 Bernstein 등(2015)의 상위인지과정모형에 기반한 단기 온라인 개입 프로그램을 개발해 내적 경험을 상위자각하고 탈동일시하며 비반응성으로 대하는 탈중심화 개입이 증상에 미치는 효과를 알아보았다. 사이버 대생 390명을 대상으로 양극성 장애 성향 집단을 선별해 참여 동의한 33명을 탈중심화 처치집단(n=17)과 대기통제집단(n=16)에 무선 할당한 후 주 1회 50분, 총 4회의온라인 집단 개입을 실시했다. 사전, 매 회기 직후 등 최대 5회에 걸쳐 조증 증상, 우울과 불안, 탈중심화를 측정했고, 처치집단은 1개월과 3개월 후에 추수평가를 실시하였다. 다수준 분석 결과, 처치집단은 통제집단에 비해 치료기제인 탈중심화가 회기에 걸쳐 유의하게 증가하였고, 우울 증상은 유의하게 감소하였다. 처치집단의 탈중심화 증진효과와 우울 완화효과는 3개월 추수까지 지속되었다. 탈중심화 개입 프로그램의 치료적 시사점, 한계 및 향후 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

This study aimed to develop a Brief Online Decentering Intervention based on the Metacognitive Process Model for individuals exhibiting symptoms of bipolar disorder (BODI for BD) and examine its effects on depression, anxiety, and current manic symptoms. The intervention aimed to enhance emotion regulation by fostering meta-awareness, disidentifying internal experiences, and reducing reactivity to thought content, as proposed by Bernstein et al. (2015). A total of 390 cyber university students were screened, with 33 randomized into either the intervention group (n = 17) or the waitlist control group (n = 16). The intervention comprised four weekly 50-minute online group sessions. Manic symptoms, depression, anxiety, and decentering were assessed across up to five time points, with additional 1- and 3-month follow-ups for the intervention group. Multilevel analyses indicated greater increases in decentering and greater reductions in depressive symptoms in the intervention group than in the control group, with these improvements maintained at the three-month follow-up. The discussion included therapeutic implications and future research directions.
