본 연구는 AI 기술시대가 만들어내는 새로운 유형의 가난을 신학적으로 조명하고 교회의 사명을 제시한다. AI 기술의 발전은 경제적 양극화, 알고리즘 편향, 관계적 소외라는 새로운 형태의 가난을 구조화하고 있다. 이에 따라 디지털 하층민, 알고리즘 소외자, 관계적 빈곤층이라는 세 유형의 가난한 자가 등장한다. 성경에서 가난한 자는 단순한 구제 대상이 아닌 하나님 나라의 주체자로서 공동체의 일원임을 확인할 수 있다. AI 시대의 새로운 가난에 대한 교회의 응답으로 기술 신화를 거부하는 예언자적 사명, AI 공동규제에 참여하는 제사장적 사명, 실존적 돌봄을 실천하는 목회적 사명을 제시한다. 교회는 AI가 구조화하는 가난을 신학적으로 성찰하고 구체적인 실천 방안을 모색해야 한다.

This study theologically examines new types of poverty created by the AI technological era and presents the church's mission. The development of AI technology is structuring new forms of poverty through economic polarization, algorithmic bias, and relational alienation. Consequently, three types of poor emerge: the Digital Underclass, the Algorithmically Excluded, and the Relationally Impoverished. The Bible reveals that the poor are not merely objects of charity but subjects of God's kingdom and members of the community. Drawing from biblical understanding of poverty in both Old and New Testaments, particularly Jesus Christ's ministry and early church practices, this research identifies how AIdriven structural changes create systematic exclusion similar to historical patterns of marginalization. The church's response to new poverty in the AI era should encompass three dimensions: prophetic mission to reject technological myths and advocate for justice; priestly mission to participate in AI co-regulation and represent the marginalized; and practical mission to provide existential care ministry. The church must theologically reflect on AI-structured poverty and seek concrete practical solutions, including digital literacy education, advocacy for ethical AI policies, and community care programs that address the unique challenges of technological displacement and relational impoverishment in our increasingly connected yet isolated society.
