본 연구는 사진과 글이 상호 작용하여 융합 텍스트로서 성찰적 글쓰기를 구성하는 방법론을 정립하고 이 방법론을 활용한 수업 사례를 제시하여 그 의의를 탐색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 사진과 글을 융합하여 성찰적 글쓰기를 구성하기 위해서는 사진과 글이 어떤 방식으로 의미를 결합하는가에 따라 보완적 융합 방식, 은유적 융합방식, 대비적 융합 방식, 정서적 융합 방식이라는 4가지 방법을 설정해볼 수 있다. 보완적 융합 방식은 사진이 글을 쓰기 위한 지시적 매개체가 되고, 글은 사진의 의미를 설명하고 정리하며 보완하는 것이다. 은유적 융합 방식은 사진이 은유적 매개체로 기능하고, 글은 새로운 의미 층위를 만들어 사진과 글이 은유적 구도를 만드는 것이다. 대비적 융합 방식은 사진이 대비적 매개체가 되고, 글은 사진과 대립되거나 반대되는 의미를 재현하는 것이다. 정서적 융합 방식은 사진이 정서적 매개체가 되고, 글은 이러한 정서를 심화하고 확장하여 정서적 층위를 풍부하게 하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 설정한 4가지 융합 방식은 사진과 글이라는 다른 매체를 융합하여 성찰적 글쓰기를 교육할 때 실질적으로 사용할 수 있는 구체적 방법이 된다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 또한 본 연구에서 제시한 방법론을 활용하여 성찰적 글쓰기 교육을 수행한다면 글쓰기 전반에서 필요한 창의적 사고와 표현력을 기르는 데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다. 더불어 학습자의 멀티모달 리터러시 능력을 길러주고 현대사회에서 요구하는 융복합적 사고 역량을 강화할 수도 있다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서 제안하는 성찰적 글쓰기 교육은 학습자가 내면의 감정을 표출하고 자기를 성찰하여 미래를 계획할 수 있도록 한다는 점에서 인문학적 교육의 장이 될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to establish a methodology for composing reflective writing as a convergent text in which photographs and writing interact, and to present class cases using this methodology in order to explore its significance. In order to compose reflective writing by integrating photographs and writing, four methods can be set according to how photographs and writing combine meanings: complementary convergence, metaphorical convergence, contrastive convergence, and emotional convergence. In the complementary convergence method, photographs serve as directive media for writing, and writing explains, organizes, and supplements the meaning of photographs. In the metaphorical convergence method, photographs function as metaphorical media, and writing creates new layers of meaning so that photographs and writing form a metaphorical structure. In the contrastive convergence method, photographs become contrastive media, and writing reproduces meanings that oppose or contradict the photographs. In the emotional convergence method, photographs serve as emotional media, and writing deepens and expands such emotions, enriching the emotional dimension. The four convergence methods established in this study are significant in that they provide concrete methods that can be practically applied in teaching reflective writing through the integration of different media such as photographs and writing. In addition, if reflective writing education is conducted by applying the methodology proposed in this study, it will help cultivate the creative thinking and expressive power necessary for writing in general. Furthermore, it can foster learners’ multimodal literacy abilities and strengthen convergent thinking skills required in contemporary society. Finally, the reflective writing education proposed in this study can serve as a place of humanities education, in that it enables learners to express inner emotions, reflect on themselves, and plan for the future.
