본 연구는 경기도 지역에서 전승된 상부소리의 공간적 분포 특성을 분석하고, 이를 통해 상부소리의 문화지리적 특성을 분석하였다. 특히, 대표적인 ‘운상소리’중 ‘한마디 입말 류’, ‘두마디 넘차 류’, ‘비(非)넘차 어이나갈까 류’를 대상으로 GIS 기반의 커널 밀도 분석을 통해 공간 분포 특성을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, ‘한마디 입말 류’가 북부 내륙과 서남부 평야지대, ‘두마디 넘차 류’가 북부 접경과 남부 완경사지·산록부, ‘비넘차 어이나갈까 류’가 남동부 및 충청도 접경지역에 밀집하는 양상이 나타났다. 이러한 유형별 차이는 지형, 생활 기반, 장례문화, 인접 문화권과의 교류망 등 복합적 요인과 밀접한 관련이 있는 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구는 향토민요의 분포와 전파가 단순한 음악적 양식의 차이를 넘어 지역 환경과 문화적 맥락 속에서 형성된다는 점을 밝혔다. 이를 통해 문화지리학·민속학·음악학 간의 학제적 연구 가능성을 확장하고, 향토민요 보존 및 전승 전략 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

This study analyzes the spatial distribution characteristics of Funeral songs transmitted in the Gyeonggi-do region and, through this, analyzes the cultural-geographic characteristics of Funeral songs. Specifically, the spatial distribution characteristics of the representative ‘Unsang-sori’ types, including ‘One-phrase spoken word type’, ‘Two-phrase overlapping type’, and ‘Non-overlapping Eoyina-gal-kka type’, were analyzed using GIS-based kernel density analysis. Research results show that by type, the ‘one-phrase spoken language type’ was concentrated in the northern inland and southwestern plains, the ‘two-phrase or more spoken language type’ in the northern border regions and southern gentle slopes and foothills, and the ‘non-phrase spoken language type’ in the southeastern and Chungcheong border regions. These type-specific differences are believed to be closely related to a complex interplay of factors such as terrain, livelihood, burial culture, and networks of exchange with neighboring cultural regions. This study shows that the distribution and spread of local folk songs are formed not just by differences in musical style, but within the context of the local environment and cultural background. This study is expected to expand the possibilities for interdisciplinary research between cultural geography, folklore, and musicology, and to provide basic data for establishing strategies for the preservation and transmission of local folk songs.
