본 연구는 인공지능(AI)과 오케스트라의 협연 사례를 통해 연주자의 경험을 중심으로, 기술적, 예술적 도전과 협업 구조의 한계를 분석하였다. 김포 필하모닉 오케스트라와 군포 프라임 필하모닉 오케스트라의 공연 사례를 중심으로, 현장 관찰과 참여 연주자를 포함한 관계자 인터뷰를 통해 기술 구현의 제약, 감정 표현의 어려움, 예술가의 창의적 개입이 제한되는 구조적 한계를 톺아보았다. 연구 결과, 현재의 협업 방식은 예술가의 해석과 감정이 실질적으로 반영되기 어려운 구조적 한계를 지니고 있으며, 이는 Snow의 ‘두 문화’ 이론에서 지적한 기술과 예술 간 단절이 여전히 극복해야 할 과제로 남아 있음을 보여주고 있다. 결론적으로 오케스트라에서의 AI의 활용이 연주자의 창의성을 높이는 방향으로, 그리하여 AI 협업 공연이 지속 가능한 하나의 양식으로 정착되기 위해서는 예술가 중심의 협업 구조 설계와 기술적·제도적 기반 정비가 필수적임을 다시 한번 확인하였다. 본 연구는 이러한 관점에서 협업 구조의 재구성을 위한 실천적 방향을 제시하며, 예술가의 창의성을 존중하는 새로운 기술 예술 협업 모델의 가능성을 제언한다.

This study analyzes technical and artistic challenges and structural limitations of collaboration between artificial intelligence (AI) and orchestras, focusing on musicians’ experiences. Based on case studies of performances by the Gimpo Philharmonic Orchestra and Gunpo Prime Philharmonic Orchestra, this research uses on-site observations and in-depth interviews with participants, including musicians, to examine specific constraints in technological implementation, difficulties in emotional expression, and the structural limitations restricting artists' creative interventions. Findings reveal that current collaborative frameworks structurally limit artists' ability to express interpretations and emotions effectively, highlighting the ongoing gap between technology and art identified in C.P. Snow’s "Two Cultures" theory. Consequently, the study underscores the necessity for designing artist-centered collaborative structures and establishing appropriate technological and institutional foundations to enhance musicians' creativity and to make AI-integrated orchestral performances a sustainable artistic practice. Finally, this study proposes practical directions for reconstructing collaborative frameworks, suggesting the possibility of a novel technological-artistic collaboration model that respects and fosters artistic creativity.
