본 연구는 부모의 부정적 양육 태도와 고등학생의 우울감 간의 관계를 스마트폰 의존도와 학업 무기력의 직렬 매개효과를 중심으로 분석하고, 남녀 간 차이를 검증하기 위해 다집단 분석을 실시하였다. 한국아동청소년패널조사 2018(KCYPS) 5차(2022)년도 자료의 고등학교 2학년 2,236명을 대상으로 하였으며, 구조방정식모형을 사용해 분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 연구 모형이 남녀 집단 간 형태 동일성, 요인계수 동일성을 충족하였고, 부정적 양육태도가 스마트폰 의존도에 미치는 영향에서 두 집단 간 경로계수에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며 그 영향력은 남학생이 여학생보다 큰 것으로 나타났다. 부정적 양육 태도가 우울감에 미치는 영향에서 스마트폰 의존도와 학업 무기력의 단일매개효과는 두 집단에서 모두 유의하였으며, 스마트폰 의존도와 학업무기력을 순차적으로 매개한 다중매개효과 또한 두 집단 모두 유의하였다. 즉, 스마트폰 의존도와 학업 무기력은 성별에 관계없이 부정적 양육 태도가 우울감에 미치는 영향을 유의미하게 강화하는 매개변수로 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 청소년 우울증을 심화시키는 스마트폰 의존과 학업 무기력의 악순환을 차단하고, 긍정적인 양육 전략을 촉진하는 개입의 중요성을 강조한다. 본 연구는 부모의 양육 태도, 기술 의존, 학업 태도, 정신 건강 간의 복잡한 상호작용을 이해하는 데 기여하며, 청소년 복지 증진을 위한 근거 기반의 정책 및 개입 전략 개발에 중요한 시사점을 제시한다.

This study examines the link between negative parenting attitudes and depression among second-year high school students, focusing on the serial mediating effects of smartphone dependency and academic helplessness. Using 2022 data from the fifth wave of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey (KCYPS 2018), a multi-group SEM analysis was conducted to assess sex differences. Results showed a stronger effect for males in the path from negative parenting to smartphone dependency. The mediating roles of smartphone dependency and academic helplessness, both individually and sequentially, were significant in both sexes. These findings indicate that both factors intensify the impact of negative parenting on depression, regardless of sex. The study underscores the need for positive parenting and interventions targeting smartphone dependency and academic helplessness, offering evidence-based insights for adolescent mental health policy.
