본 연구는 3D 프린팅 체육 용기구의 특수학교(급) 현장 적용 과정에서 나타나는 교사들의 경험 및 장애 학생들의 특징을 상세히 확인하는 데에 목적이 있다. 연구참여자는 목적 표집을 통해 수도권 특수학교(급) 소속 교사 4명을 선정하였으며 질적 사례연구 방법에 기반하여 심층 면담 및 현장 관찰과정에서 수집된 자료에 대한 귀납적 주제분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과 3D 프린팅 체육 용기구 활용 수업을 진행한 교사들의 경험 해석에 대한 연구문제 1의 핵심주제로 기존 용기구 문제점 및 현장에서 경험한 제약에 대한 ‘메마른 땅에 나무 키우기’, 용기구를 활용하며 경험한 장점과 보완점에 대한‘신선한 바람’과 ‘가지치기’, 향후 3D 프린팅의 효과적인 특수학교(급) 접목 방안과 기대효과에 대한‘열매를 맺는 법’의 핵심주제 4개가 도출되었다. 연구문제 2의 3D 프린팅 체육 용기구 활용 수업에 참여한 장애 학생들에게 나타난 특징을 살펴본 결과 다양한 형태의 상호작용 경험, 성취감, 건강한 경쟁과 승리 전략 수립 경험, 기술 지식 학습, 수행 기능 향상 등을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구사례는 활용도 높은 체육 용기구의 개발 적용이 특수학교(급)현장에 미치는 긍정적인 영향에 대해 엿볼 수 있는 선행적 사례로 가치가 있다고 판단된다.
The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of teachers and the characteristics of students with disabilities during the process of applying 3D-printed sports equipment in special schools(class). The participants were four teachers from special schools(class) in the metropolitan area, selected through purposive sampling. Based on a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and field observations, and inductive thematic analysis was conducted. The results revealed four key themes regarding the teachers' experiences with 3D-printed sports equipment: “Planting Trees in Dry Land” for the problems of existing equipment and limitations experienced in the field, “Fresh Wind” and “Pruning” for the advantages and areas for improvement experienced while using the equipment, and “How to Bear Fruit” for the effective integration of 3D printing in special schools(class) and its expected outcomes. The second research question explored the characteristics of students with disabilities who participated in 3D-printed sports equipment lessons, revealing a variety of interaction experiences, a sense of achievement, engagement in healthy competition, the development of winning strategies, learning of technical knowledge, and improvement in performance skills. This study serves as a valuable preliminary example of the positive impact that the development and application of practical sports equipment can have on special schools(class).
