이 연구는 정세랑의 장르적 글쓰기에서 여성주의적 기획을 중심으로 작가의 창작적 특성을 분석한다. 정세랑은 등단 초기부터 다양한 대중서사 장르를 차용하여 기존의 문단 문학은 물론 장르 문학 전통과도 차별화된 문학세계를 구축하였다. 본 연구는 정세랑이 장르를 선택함에 있어서, 여성주의적 대안세계에 대한 상상력이 주요한 동인이었음을 지적하고, 정세랑이 영미권과 일본의 여성주의 장르에서 받은 영향을 분석한다. 이와 같은 목적을 위해, 본 연구는 여성주의 장르의 개념을 소개하고, 정세랑의 「리셋」, 「7교시」, 『지구에서 한아뿐』에 나타난 여성주의 장르의 수용 양상을 보여준다. 특히 본 연구가 주목하는 것은, 정세랑이 『보건교사 안은영』에서 이성애 관계의 정치적 효용을 마법소녀 장르를 전유해 서사화하는 전략이다. 주인공 은영과 인표의 로맨스가 약자들의 돌봄을 위한 윤리적 돌봄 네트워크로 작용한다는 점에 주목하여, 두 인물의 관계가 정세랑의 여성주의적 이상을 반영하고 있음을 주장하고자 한다. 일련의 논의를 통해, 이 연구가 정세랑의 여성주의 장르를 이용한 글쓰기에 대한심층적 이해를 제공하고, 여성주의 장르 연구의 영역을 넓히는 데 중요한 기초를 마련할 것으로 기대한다.

This study investigates the feminist agenda in Chŏng Serang’s genre-based writing, positioning it as a fundamental force shaping her literary landscape. Since the beginning of her career, Chŏng has engaged with various popular genres, offering distinctive interpretations of social issues in South Korea. This research delves into Chŏng’s affinity for feminist genres and provides an in-depth analysis of her feminist reimagining of the magical girl genre in her work, School Nurse Files. The influence of science fiction (SF) is particularly significant in Chŏng’s genre writing as she embraces feminist narratives. The study begins with a brief overview of the online genre literature scene of the 2000s, which informed Chŏng’s choice of SF, and introduces feminist genre theory. It then examines the appropriation of feminist SF genre found in “Reset,” “History Class in 7th period,” Only Hana in This Earth. Following this, the analysis highlights how School Nurse Files incorporates key feminist elements of the magical girl genre, reclaiming the capabilities of the female body and fostering an imaginative narrative that affirms a positive world view. Lastly, this study argues that the romance between the protagonists reflects Chŏng’s vision for an ethical care network supporting the vulnerable. Through these discussions, the study aims to enhance understanding of Chŏng’s feminist genre characteristics and establish a significant foundation for advancing feminist genre studies.
