이 논문은 1980년대 노동시에 나타난 문학적 특징과 지향을 살핌으로써 1980년대노동시에 관한 연구를 확장하고자 한다. 이는 ‘새로운 주체성’과 관련되며 ‘가난’과‘사랑’의 주제에 관한 것이다. 1980년대 노동시에서 ‘가난’은 노동자의 공통적인 조건이자, ‘소유’로 규정된 자본가와 그를 뒷받침하는 권력에 대한 대립항이다. 1980년대노동시는 ‘가난’으로부터 공통적인 것을 발견하고 이를 극복하는 시 정신을 보여주고 있다. 1980년대 노동시에 나타난 ‘사랑’은 가난을 극복하는 변화의 힘이며 자신을 능동적 주체로 변화시키는 본질이다. 무엇보다 ‘사랑’은 자신의 가치를 집단적으로 제고함으로써 노동자가 가진 힘을 증폭시키는 생성의 과정으로 나아간다. 그런 점에서 이들 시에 나타난 '사랑’은 세상을 변화시킬 수 있는 능동성과 새로운 주체성의 실천으로 볼 수 있다. 이와 같이 1980년대 노동시는 ‘가난’과 '사랑'을 통해 자신의 고난을 극복하는 힘과 집단적인 주체로 나아가는 확장성을 갖게 된다. 1980년대 시적 기획과 지향은 다소 변화되고 수정되었을지언정 그 힘은 여전히 유효하다. 새로운 주체의 발견, 대안적 세계를 구성하고자 하는 열망, 그리고 사회적 약자의 삶을 형상화하고자 하는 시적 지향이 지금에도 중요한 과제가 되기 때문이다. ‘가난’과 ‘사랑’에 주목한 이 연구는 1980년대 노동시가 고정적인 정체성, 혹은 이를 통한배타적 분할의 원리를 파훼해 가는 과정을 살피고자 하였다. 이러한 과정은 곧 ‘공통적인 것’을 생산하는 실천이자 새로운 주체를 생성하는 시작이 될 수 있다.

This article aimed to explore new thematic consciousness and orientations by examining the meanings of ‘poverty’ and ‘love’ in labor poetry of the 1980s. In the labor poetry of the 1980s, ‘poverty’ can be approached as ‘non-possession’ and the discovery of worker identity. The poetic speakers of labor poetry found their common situations and conditions within ‘poverty’. This goes beyond mere economic poverty to signify the exploitation and alienation of labor. However, through 'poverty', they discovered their commonality and moved towards 'worker identity' by distinguishing themselves from those who exploit them. In their poetry, 'possession' is another name for exploitation. It represents resistance based on the morality or purity achieved through non-possession. Additionally, it manifests as a power in the movement of oneself and the world. The ‘love’ depicted in the labor poetry of the 1980s is the force of change generated from this ‘poverty’, and the essence of transforming oneself into an active subject. By shifting focus from oneself or the individual to discovering ‘us’ within, and collectively enhancing one's value, ‘love’ is conceptualized as a force that amplifies our self-preservation power. The poetic speaker gains a flexible identity and expansiveness through ‘love’. Today's labor is markedly different from the situations and methods of the 1980s. The trend has shifted towards ‘immaterial labor’ that emphasizes information, knowledge, ideas, and the relationships and communications occurring within. However, the position of workers remains unchanged in terms of being social underdogs. They still find themselves in situations of ‘poverty’, and the ‘love’ pursuing the completeness of survival remains important even now. This will continue to be a relevant and significant discussion in the present, focusing on the values of ‘multiplicity’ and ‘solidarity’.
