연구목적 본 연구는 신문보도기사를 활용하여 Z세대와 관련된 키워드와 이들 간의 네트워크 구조를 확인함으로써 Z세대에 대한 사회적 인식과 주요 이슈에 대해 분석하기 위함이다. 연구방법 2023년 1월 1일부터 12월 31일까지 한국언론진흥재단의 기사 통합 검색 시스템(BIGKINDS)을 통해 수집된 6,186개의 Z세대 관련 언론 기사를 분석하였다. 데이터 전처리 과정을 거쳐 텍스트 네트워크 분석과 CONCOR 분석을 실시하였으며, R 프로그램과 텍스톰(Textom) 프로그램을 활용하였다. 결과 TF-IDF 분석 결과, 상위 키워드로 "사회", "소통", "일", "취향", "여행" 등이 도출되었으며, 연결중심성 분석에서 "소통", "일", "카드" 등의 키워드는 높은 네트워크 중심성을 보이며 Z세대의 디지털 상호 작용과 경제적 활동을 강조하였다. CONCOR 분석을 통해 두 개의 클러스터가 도출되었는데, 첫 번째 클러스터는 "미래", "기술", "디지털"과 같은 Z세대의 디지털 및 미래 지향적 특성을 반영하였고, 두 번째 클러스터는 "경제", "건강", "고객"과 같은 경제적, 사회적 관심사를 나타냈다. 결론 Z세대는 디지털 환경에서 자라난 세대로 기술 혁신과 디지털 상호작용에 강한 영향을 받으며, 경제적 안정과 소비 활동에도 큰 관심을 보인다. 이러한 특성은 Z세대가 사회적 변화와 경제 활동의 중심적 역할을 하게 될 가능성을 시사하며, 정책적 및 교육적 접근에서 이를 고려해야 한다.
Purpos This study aims to analyze social perceptions and key issues related to Generation Z by identifying keywords and their network structures in news articles. Methods A total of 6,186 Generation Z-related news articles published between January 1 and December 31, 2023, were collected through the BIGKINDS (Korea Integrated Newspaper Database System) platform of the Korea Press Foundation. The collected data underwent preprocessing and were analyzed using text network analysis and CONCOR analysis, with R and Textom programs. Key indicators included TF-IDF, degree centrality, closeness centrality, and betweenness centrality. Results TF-IDF analysis identified top keywords like "society," "communication," "work," "preferences," and "travel," reflecting Generation Z's socio-economic interests. Degree centrality highlighted "communication," "work," and "card," emphasizing their digital and economic engagement. CONCOR analysis revealed two clusters: one focusing on "future," "technology," and "digital," showcasing their tech-driven nature, and another on "economy," "health," and "customers," indicating economic and consumer concerns. Conclusion These findings illustrate Generation Z's strong connection to technology and digital interaction, alongside significant interest in economic activities. Understanding these traits is crucial for developing policies and educational strategies that align with their evolving societal and economic roles.
