이 논문은 글로컬 대학의 외국인 전담학과의 현황을 분석하고 교육과정에 대한 방향을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 교육 인구의 감소라는 한국 대학의 위기 속에서 교육부의 글로컬 대학 사업은 지방의 대학과 지방의 경제를 활성화하기 위한 시대적 사명으로서 한국 사회에서 중요한 과제로 인식된다. 또한 글로컬 대학 사업은 대학과 지역혁신체제의 중요한 사례이며, 학문적으로도 중요하다고 볼 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 다음과 같이 글로컬 대학의 외국인 전담 학과의 현황과 교육과정에 대하여 분석하였다. 첫째, 글로컬 대학의 의미와 과제에 대한 분석. 둘째, 외국인 전담 학과의 외국인 학생 입학 관련 규정에 대한 분석. 셋째, 글로컬 대학의 외국인 전담학과의 현황에 대한 분석. 넷째, 글로컬 대학의 외국인 전담 학과 교육과정에 대한 분석. 마지막으로 글로컬 대학의 외국인 전담 학과 교육과정에 대한 제언을 하였다. 이 논문에서 분석된 글로컬 대학의 외국인 전담 학과에 대한 학술적 논의는 향후 글로컬 대학의 발전 계획 수립과 외국인 전담학과 개설을 위한 자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current status of departments exclusively for foreigners at Glocal universities, which have not been studied before, and to suggest directions for the curriculum. In the midst of the crisis of the decline in the educated population, revitalizing local universities and local economies is not only a socially important task as a mission of the times, but also an important case of university sociology and regional innovation systems, and is academically important. The main analysis of this paper are as follows. First, analysis of the meaning and current status of Glocal universities. Second, analysis of regulations related to admission of foreign students in departments exclusively for foreign students. Third, analysis of the current status of departments exclusively for foreigners in Glocal universities. Fourth, analysis of the curriculum of departments exclusively for foreigners in Glocal universities. Finally, suggestions were made for the operation of departments exclusively for foreign students in Glocal universities. Therefore, academic discussions on departments exclusively for foreigners at Glocal universities are very important as reference materials for establishing development plans for selected Glocal universities and opening departments exclusively for foreign students.
