본 연구에서는 국내 내항화물운송기업의 집중도를 분석하여 내항화물운송 사업의 시장 구조를 파악하는 것을 연구의 목적으로 한다. 연구의 방법은 CR(k), HHI, 변이할당분석 및 GINI 계수 등을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, CR(3) 지수 분석에 따르면2017년, 2018년 및 2019년은 집중도가 다소 증가하다가 2020년과 2021년에 약간 감소했다. 허쉬만-허핀달 지수(HHI) 분석 시 평균 1,000 이하의 일반적인 시장 집중도를 보이고 있다. GINI 지수의 경우, 2018년과 2019년의 계수가 상승하는 반면, 2020년과2021년 각각의 시장 점유율은 개선되었다. 할당효과 분석 결과, 2017년, 2018년에는조사 대상 사업체 모두 매출액 증가가 예상되었으나, COVID-19 시기였던 2019년∼2021년에 모든 업체는 마이너스 성장을 보였다. 본 연구의 결과는 정책당국의 다양한 지원책 마련에 중요한 근거자료로 활용될 수 있다는 시사점을 갖는다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the concentration of domestic coastal cargo transport companies. As for the study methods, CR(k), HHI, shift-share analysis, and GINI coefficients were used. The result of the analysis indicated that according to the CR (3) index analysis, the concentration increased somewhat in 2017, 2018, and 2019, but decreased a little in 2020 and 2021. The Hirschman-Herfindahl index (HHI) analysis shows general market concentrations not higher than 1,000 on average. In the case of the GINI coefficients, the coefficients increased in 2018 and 2019, while the market shares improved in 2020 and 2021, respectively. The result of the shift-share effect analysis indicated that all the companies surveyed were expected to increase their sales in 2017 and 2018, but all the companies showed negative growth in 2019-2021, which was the COVID-19 period. The results of this study have an implication that they can be used as important base data for policy authorities to prepare various support measures.
