인공지능의 발전은 딥페이크와 가짜뉴스 등 다양한 윤리적 문제를 일상의 현실로 불러오고 있다. 특히, 대규모 언어모델로 대표되는 자연어처리 환경에서 새로운 윤리적 쟁점이 발생하고 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 생성형 인공지능 시대에 맞춰 자연어처리 윤리교육의 필요성과 방향성을 육하원칙에 따라 제안한다. 먼저, ‘왜 자연어처리 윤리교육이 중요한가’에 대해, 윤리교육이 단순한 예방 차원을 넘어 실질적이고 시급한 필요성을 지니게 되었으며, 이에 대한 학생들의 공감이 필수적임을 강조한다. ‘언제 어디서 교육이 이루어져야 하는가’에 대해서는 대학 학부와 대학원 과정에서 체계적인 정규 교과목으로 개설될 필요가 있음을 주장한다. ‘무엇을 가르쳐야 하는가’에 대해서는 기술적 이해와 언어학적 배경이 병행되어야 하며, 특히 환경 오염과 디지털 소외 문제도 포함해야 함을 제안한다. ‘어떻게 교육할 것인가’에 대해서는 실습과 토론 중심의 학생 주도형 학습을 통해 윤리적 인식과 실천을 강화하는 방식을 제안한다. 마지막으로, ‘누가 가르칠 것인가’에 대해 자연어처리 윤리를 담당할 교수자 양성 프로그램을 통해 윤리교육의 지속가능성과 전문성을 강화해야 한다고 제언한다.

The development of artificial intelligence has brought various ethical issues such as deepfakes and fake news into our daily reality. In particular, new societal impacts are emerging with respect to Large Language Models driven by the Natural Language Processing techniques. In this respect, this ariticle concerns the need and direction of NLP ethics education within the 5W1H framework. First, regarding why NLP ethics education is essential, this article claims that the course has to make the students agree on the need for NLP ethics before anything else. Concerning when and where such education should take place, this article argues that a common course about NLP ethics should be made as an undergraduate and graduate program. As for what should be taught, the curriculum should integrate technical understanding with linguistic knowledge, and also address recent issues such as environmental pollution and digital exclusion. In terms of how to teach, the example-based discussion and should be preferred with practical training. Finally, who should teach is addressed in order to perform a dedicated program to train educators in NLP ethics.
