본 연구는 해외 단기선교에 실제로 참여한 대학생들이 어떠한 변화 경험을 하였는지를 탐색하기 연구이다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면, 단기선교 참여는 선교에 대한 관심과 단기선교에서 하나님이 일하시는 영적 경험을 얻기 위한 것으로 나타났다. 단기선교 참여를 통한 인식 변화에는 신앙적 자기성찰, 하나님의 임재 경험, 타문화와 선교사역에 대한 이해가 확대되었으며, 행동 변화에는 하나님의 복음을 직접 선포하고 다양한 전도 활동에 적극적으로 참여하는 경험 하였다. 단기선교 참여를 통해 합력하는 기쁨을 알게 되는 선교 공동체 경험을 하였으며, 단기선교 사역이 지속되기를 기대했다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 몇 가지 제언을 하고자 한다. 첫째, 한국의 신학대학을 포함한 기독 대학들의 선교적 사명을 잊지 말아야 한다. 둘째, 단기선교는 기독 대학생들의 영적 경험과 인성교육을 이루어지는 경험학습이 될 수 있다. 셋째, 단기선교는 철저한 준비와 영적 훈련이 병행되어야 한다. 넷째, 단기선교를 통해 역량을 갖춘 해외선교사의 다음 세대가 양성될 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 기독 대학들이 선교 공동체로서 해외 단기선교를 활성화시킴으로써 한국 해외 선교의 다음 세대 양성에 이바지하게 되기를 기대한다.

The purpose of this study is to explore what changes the college student who actually participated in overseas short-term missionary work experienced. According to the results of this study, the motivation for participating in short-term missions was interest in missions and the spiritual experience of God working in short-term missions. Changes in perception through participation in short-term missions include religious self-reflection, experience of God's presence, and expanded understanding of other cultures and missionary work, and behavioral changes include experiences of directly proclaiming the gospel of God and actively participating in various evangelism activities. They experienced the missional community and learned the joy of working together, and they expected the short-term mission work to continue. I suggest strengthening a few things. First, we must not forget the missional identity of Christian universities. Second, short-term missions can be an experiential learning experience that provides spiritual experience and character education. Third, short-term missions must be accompanied by thorough preparation and spiritual training. Fourth, short-term missions must continue to train the next generation of Korean church overseas missionaries.
