Purpose - The purpose of this study is to derive policy tasks for sustainable tourism in the future in preparation for the era of global disasters such as climate change and the pandemic. Design, data, and methodology - As a research method, the 'systematic literature review' method was adopted. First, 44 review papers on sustainable tourism included in the Web of Science database from 2020 to 2024 were analyzed by concept, subject, and main agent. Result - Based on the analysis results of the review paper, a total of 9 policy tasks for sustain able tourism were derived. In other words, after analyzing the research trends for each policy task, future policy tasks were presented. Comparing the review papers as a whole, 'building an ecosystem where stakeholders can cooperate' and 'realization of AI-based smart tourism' were the most important policy tasks in sustainable tourism. Conclusions - This study attempted to present policy tasks to secure sustainable tourism competitiveness in global competition. Theoretically, there was a limitation in that the scope of research was wide to deal with detailed topics related to sustainable tourism in depth. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that policy proposals were made on all possible topics while reviewing review papers on sustainable tourism. In future studies, it is expected that more practical detailed research will be actively conducted on each policy task proposed in this study.
