오늘날 한국창작춤은 탈장르적으로 발전하는 경향에 있어 다양한 의문이 야기된다. 사회변화에 따라 한국춤의 맥락이 흐릿해지고 융합화되면서 그 개념과 범위가 모호하기 때문이다. 동시대적 창작의 시도가 새로운 가치와 효과를 창출함에 따라 발전되는 모호함은 문화현상으로서의 시각을 요구한다. 이는 서로 다른 문화가 섞여 새로운 문화를 만들어 내는 현상을 지칭하는 혼종성(Hybridity) 개념을 통해 한국창작춤의 정체성을 재평가하게 하는 중요한 계기가 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 한국창작춤의 혼종성에 주목하여 혼종성에 기반한 무용작품을 분석해 보고자 한다. 특히 국립무용단의 묵향은 기존의 개념을 넘나드는 혼종성의 원리를 통해 새로운 한국창작춤을 위한 전통재창작을 시도하였다. 오랫동안 활용된 인식을 깨뜨리고 보다 다양한 문화적 가능성을 열어주는 것이다. 추후 혼종성에 기반한 한국창작춤이 시대가 요청하는 문화적 계승과 변화를 도모하며, 미래적 춤 문화를 모색하는 데 긍정적인 영향을 줄 것을 기대한다.

Today, various questions arise regarding the tendency of Korean creative dance to develop post-genre. This is because the concept and scope of Korean dance are ambiguous as the context of Korean dance becomes blurred and fused according to social changes. The ambiguity that develops as contemporary creative attempts create new values and effects requires a perspective as a cultural phenomenon. This is an important opportunity to reevaluate the identity of Korean creative dance through the concept of hybridity, which refers to a phenomenon in which different cultures are mixed to create a new culture. Therefore, this study aims to analyze dance works based on hybridity by paying attention to the hybridity of Korean creative dance. In particular, the National Dance Company's Mukhyang attempted to recreate the traditional Korean creative dance through the principle of hybridity that transcends the existing concepts. It breaks down perceptions that have been used for a long time and opens up more diverse cultural possibilities. In the future, it is expected that the Korean creative dance based on hybridity will have a positive impact on pursuing the cultural inheritance and change requested by the times and seeking future dance culture.
