연구목적 본 연구는 인천시티발레단의 레파토리 작품인 동화발레무용극인 <심청>의 작품을 분석하고 그 분석을 통해 드러나는 작품의 교육적 가치가 무엇인지 밝혀보고자 한다. 연구방법 본 연구는 질적 사례연구방법에 근거한 작품 분석 연구로 작품분석과 무용교육의 가치에 대한 선행연구논문 및 무용극 중심의 연구이론 바탕으로 <심청>의 작품을 분석하여 그에 내재되어 있는 교육적 가치를 밝힌 것이다. 그리고 예술감독의 안무의도 등을 심층 인터뷰하고 또 공연에 대한 관객의 반응이나 홈피에 게재되어 있는 프로그램이나 공연평 등을 종합적으로 검토한 후 결론을 도출하였다. 결과 첫째, 무용극은 시각적이고 신체적인 표현을 통해 이야기를 전달할 수 있기 때문에, 어린이들이 더 쉽게 이해하고 몰입할 수 있다. 둘째, 표정과 동작을 통한 감정의 전달은 심청전의 다양한 감정들을 느끼게 할 수 있다. 어린이들은 동작 표현이라는 비언어적 느낌을 통해 인물들의 감정을 직관적으로 이해할 수 있다. 셋째, 음악과 조명의 사용은 무대에 신비감을 줄 뿐 아니라 감정적인 장면에서 적절한 효과를 만들어냄으로써 어린이들이 이야기의 분위기를 더 잘 느낄 수 있다. 넷째, 원작인 <심청전>은 고전소설로 이야기가 많아 복잡하게 느껴진다. 이러한 복잡한 줄거리를 간결화 하여 이야기의 핵심 요소만을 강조함으로써 어린이들이 쉽게 주제에 접근할 수 있도록 한다. 다섯째, 어린이들이 직접 참여할 수 있는 관객 참여 요소를 추가하면, 더 큰 흥미와 몰입을 유도할 수 있다. 결론 한국동화발레 무용극 <심청> 공연작품 시놉시스를 분석하면 부모를 공경하는 심청의 효심을 배울 수 있으며 무대 배경과 인물의 특성을 볼 때 심청과 심봉사가 어려운 상황 속에서도 희망을 잃지 않고 극복해 나가는 과정을 통해 인내하고 극복하는 끈기를 알 수 있었다. 또한 행동과 갈등의 과정을 겪으면서 인간이 느끼는 보편적 감정에 공감하고 상황과 처지를 헤아려보는 마음을 갖게 한다. 그리고 권선징악으로 마무리되는 결말은 정의와 선의의 착한 행동이 승리한다는 교훈과 함께 무용극으로서의 고전을 접함으로써 문학적 소양을 배울 수 있으며 움직임으로 표현되는 이야기구조와 동작을 배울 수 있다.

Purpose This study aims to analyze the fairy tale ballet dance drama < Simcheong >, which is part of the Incheon City Ballet Company's repertoire, and to reveal the educational value of the work revealed through the analysis. Methods This study is a video work analysis study based on qualitative research methods and analyzes the work < Simcheong > based on previous research papers on work analysis and the value of dance education and dance theater-centered research theories to reveal the educational value inherent in it. Results First, dance dramas can convey stories through visual and physical expressions, making it easier for children to understand and immerse themselves in. Second, the expression of emotions through facial expressions and movements can help children feel the various emotions of Simcheongjeon. Third, the use of music and lighting not only adds a sense of mystery to the stage, but also creates appropriate effects in emotional scenes, allowing children to better feel the atmosphere of the story. Fourth, by simplifying complex plots through dance drama and emphasizing only the core elements of the story, children can easily approach the topic. Fifth, adding audience participation elements that children can directly participate in can induce greater interest and immersion. Conclusion By encountering classic dance dramas, you can learn literary knowledge and learn story structures and movements expressed through movement.
