본 논문의 목적은 중학생의 학교폭력 예방을 위한 음악 교과 수업 프로그램을 개발하여 학교 현장에서 유의미하게 활용할 수 있도록 제공하는 것이다. 연구 방법은 예술 및 음악교육에 관한 문헌 탐구와 2022 개정 교육과정 총론과 음악과 교육과정, 그리고 학교폭력의 현황 및 예방 프로그램에 관련한 자료 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 바탕으로 기존의 학교폭력 예방프로그램의 개선점을 반영하여 프로그램의 전체 틀과 주요 내용을 확정하였고, 2022 개정 음악과 교육과정의 성취기준을 통해 1차 프로그램을 개발하였다. 이후 교육학, 음악 교사 및 음악교육 전문가의 검증을 통해 프로그램의 타당도를 확보하였고, 수정과 보완 후 최종적으로 프로그램을 확정하였다. 본 프로그램은 청소년이 음악교과의 성취기준을 달성하고 음악교육이 가지고 있는 역량 함양을 통해 궁극적으로는 학교폭력 예방에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 프로그램을 개발하는 데 중점을 두고 있다. 프로그램이 적용되었을 때, 청소년들이 학교폭력 예방에 효과적인 수업이었는지, 역량 및 교과 성취기준에 도달할 수 있는 적절한 수업이었는지에 대한 현장 검증이 필요하다는 제한점이 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 본 연구로 개발된 학교폭력 예방 프로그램은 축소되고 있는 음악교육이 사회적 문제 해결에 영향력을 미칠 수 있다는 잠재력을 제고하고, 또한 수업 시간 내에 청소년들이 사회적 문제에 대해 고찰하는 기회를 가질 수 있다는 데에 의의가 있으며, 학교 현장에서 유의미하게 적용될 것으로 기대한다.
The objective of this research is to develop a music curriculum program aimed at preventing school violence among middle school students and to ensure its meaningful implementation in educational settings. The research method adopted includes a comprehensive review of literature on arts and music education, alongside an analysis of both the general principles and the specific music curriculum as outlined in the 2022 revised curriculum, in addition to studies on the current status of school violence and its prevention programs. This process involved identifying areas for improvement in existing school violence prevention programs, establishing an overarching framework and key components, and formulating an initial program based on the achievement standards set forth in the 2022 revised music curriculum. Further validation was secured through assessments by scholars in education, music teachers, and specialists in music education, which confirmed the program’s validity. Subsequent revisions and enhancements led to the finalization of the program. This program emphasizes the potential of music education to significantly influence the prevention of school violence through the achievement of specific curriculum standards and the development of relevant educational competencies. Upon implementation, the program requires field verification to evaluate its effectiveness in preventing school violence and its adequacy in helping students meet the required competencies and curriculum standards. Despite these challenges, the program developed through this research highlights the potential for reduced music education to address social issues effectively, and provides students with opportunities to reflect on social problems during class time, thus expecting a significant impact on school practices.
