본 연구는 강원도지방소나무에 대한 수피두께 및 수피율을 추정하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위해 강원도 지방과 경북북부 지역을 대상으로 조사된 소나무 공시목을 재료로 하였다. 각 공시목에 대해 흉고직경, 수고, 수간부위별 직경 및 수피두께를 측정하였으며, 수간석해를 통해 수피 포함 간재적 및 수피제외 간재적을 추정하였다. 수간부위가 높을수록 수피두께는 감소하는 경향을 나타냈다. 수간부위별 수피두께의 변이는 낮은 수간높이에서 매우 컸고, 수간부위가 높아짐에 따라 변이는 점차 작아져 상대수간높이 0.25부터는 비슷한 변이폭을 나타내었다. 이와 같은 수피두께의 특정을 고려여 수간높이별로 수피두께를 추정할 수 있는 수피두께 추정식을 흉고직경, 수고, 수간높이, 수간높이별 직경 등을 변수로 하여 도출하였다. 추정식은 적합성, 추정계수의 통계적 신뢰성 등에 있어 타당한 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 이와 같이 유도된 수피두께추정식에 의해 추정된 수피재적을 수피포함 수간재적 및 흉고직경에 대한 비율로 나타내었다. 수피포함 간재적에 대한 수피재적비율은 재적이 0.1㎥미만일 때는 20%까지 높았으며, 간재적이 증가함에 따라 급격히 감소하여 재적 0.2㎥에서는 약 10%정도를 나타났다. 0.2㎥이상의 간재적에서는 큰 변화 없이 약 8-10% 정도의 수피율을 나타냈다. 흉고직경에 따른 수피재적율은 직경급에 따라 18-8%의 범위를 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 직경급 6cm에서는 약 18%의 수피재적율을 보이다가 직경급이 증가함에 따라 수피재적율은 급격히 감소하여 직경급 22cm에서는 약 10%정도의 수피재적율을 나타내었다. 이후로는 약 8-10%의 수피재적율을 보이고 있다.

This study was carried out to estimate the bark thickness and bark percent of Pinus densiflora in Kangwon province. The sample data were surveyed in Kangwon and Kyeong-buk province. From the sample trees, dbh, height and diameter by cross section height etc were measured. As cross section height were high, the trend of bark width had decreased step by step. The variation of bark thickness by cross section height had showed high in below cross section height. As cross section height were high, the variation of bark thickness had decreased, and it had showed to similar in 0.25 of relative height or more. In consideration of bark thickness, bark thickness estimation equation was estimated with dbh , height and diameter by cross section. It had showed very significent in fitness and reliability of estimation coefficent. Bark volume by estimation equation had calculated at the rare of volume outside bark and dbh. Bark volume percent of volume outside bark had showed high to 20% level under 0.1㎥ of volume and approximately 10% in 0.2㎥ of volume. Bark percent had showed approximately 8-10% in 0.2㎥ of volume or more. Bark volume percent from dbh had showed within the range of 18 - 8% by dbh class, and it had showed approximately 18% in dbh class 6cm. With the increase of dbh class, bark volume percent had decreased Quickly and approximately 10% in 22cm of dbh class. Subsequently, bark volume percent had showed approxitely 8 - 10%.
