연구목적: 이 연구의 목적은 『악률전서』 인무보의 고찰을 통해 인무 춤사위에 함의된 상징과 수양의 덕목을 거경함양의 관점에서 논의하는 것이다. 연구방법: 먼저 문헌 연구를 기반으로 인무의 성립 배경 및 인무보를 분석한다. 다음으로 동양 철학적 관점에서 인무 춤사위에 담긴 상징과 수양의 덕목인 거경함양을 주제로 살펴본다. 연구결과: 요임금의 춤으로 지어진 인무는 가장 오랜 연원을 지닌 춤 육대대무의 하나로 춤 학습의 가장 기본이 되는 춤이다. 인무 춤사위는 사단(四端)을 상징하는 사세(四勢)와 오상삼강(五常三綱)을 상징하는 팔세(八勢)의 구조로 이루어져 있으며, 사람이 항상 지켜야 할 도덕적 가치와 예의를 강조한다. 거경함양은 윤리적 성찰과 학문적 수양을 실천하기 위한 방법론이다. 인무 춤사위 학습을 통한 거경의 실천은 몸으로의 공부를 힘써 이행하는 과정으로, 심신 수양을 위한 실천적 본보기로서 유가적 처세의 지표를 얻기 위한 목적을 지닌다. 거경 즉 몸가짐을 바르게 하여 근본을 세우고 스스로를 수양하는 배움은 개인의 발전은 물론 바람직한 미래 사회를 만들어 가는 초석으로 이는 고대의 춤 분석을 통해 얻을 수 있는 귀한 가르침이다. 결론: 고대로부터 전해진 인무 춤사위에 함의된 상징을 파악하고 거경함양의 관점에서 논한 본 연구는 과거의 흔적이 담긴 무보를 현재의 시각에서 분석하여 춤의 본질과 고유한 특성을 보존해 가는 유의미한 과정이다. 시공을 아우르는 논의로서 본고가 고대로부터 이어온 춤의 정통성을 본받아 춤 지평의 확장 및 가치 창출에 기여하길 바란다.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to study the symbols and the virtues of discipline included in the dance from the perspective of cultivating Geogyeong through the review of the Inmubo in 『Akryuljeonseo』. Methods: First, the background of the establishment of Inmu and the Inmubo are analyzed based on literature research. Next, from an oriental philosophical point of view, the theme is Cultivation of Geo-gyeong, the symbol contained in the Inmu and the virtue of discipline. Result: Inmu, created by the dance of King Yo, is one of the six great dances with the oldest historical roots and serves as the fundamental dance for learning. Cultivation of Geo-gyeong is a methodology for practicing ethical reflection and academic cultivation. The practice of Geogyeong through learning the dance movements of Inmu involves diligent physical study, aiming to obtain a practical example for mental and physical cultivation and to serve as a guide for Confucian conduct. Learning to establish a foundation and cultivate oneself by correcting one’s posture is not only essential for individual development but also serves as a cornerstone for creating a desirable future society. This is a valuable lesson that can be obtained through the analysis of ancient dances. Conclusion: This study, which analyzes the dance of Inmu that has been handed down since ancient times and identifies the symbols implied in the dance, is a meaningful process that preserves the essence and unique characteristics of dance from the present perspective and continues its legitimacy. I hope this paper will contribute to the expansion of the dance horizon.
