약용작물산업은 인류의 건강과 웰빙에 중요한 역할을 한다. 그러나 이는 환경, 사회, 그리고 기업 운영의 투명성과 효율성에 대한 더 높은 요구와 함께 있다. 최근 몇 년 동안, 기업의 경영 방침과 관행을 평가하는 데 ESG(Evironmental, Social, Governance)가 강조되고 있다. 특히 약용작물산업에서는 자연환경 보호, 사회적 책임, 그리고 보건 및 안전에 대한 책임을 반영하는 측면이 더 중요하게 대두된다. 본 연구는 약용작물산업 기업의 ESG 지표 준수 현황을 분석하여 산업의 강점과 개선점을 파악하고, 녹색경영과 지역경제 활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 통해 지역사회와 기업의 상호이익을 극대화할 수 있는 전략을 모색하였다.

The medicinal crop industry plays an important role in human health and well-being. However, this comes with higher demands on the environment, society, and transparency and efficiency of business operations. In recent years, ESG (Evironmental, Social, Governance) has been emphasized in evaluating companies' management policies and practices. In particular, in the medicinal crop industry, aspects that reflect responsibility for natural environment protection, social responsibility, and health and safety are 1) Icheon-si Agricultural Technology center, Sungkyul University Graduate School, Department of Department of Medicinal Crops Master's and Doctor's Integration becoming more important. This study analyzed the status of compliance with ESG indicators by companies in the medicinal crop industry to identify the industry's strengths and areas for improvement, and to suggest measures for green management and revitalization of the local economy. Through this, strategies were sought to maximize the mutual benefits of the local community and the company.
