The purpose of this study is to examine the meaning of the public's dancing body by focusing on the 「Any Song」 dance challenge, a popular dance phenomenon that occurred during the pandemic. To do so, I explore the dancing body by the body discourse of Michel Foucault, Merleau-Ponty and Maffesoli. The public body in the 「Any Song」dance challenge has a meaning as a participant who liberates, transforms, and communicates with other people in a situation of social isolation.
