본 연구의 목적은 서이초 사건 관련 교사집회의 윤리적 의미와 시사점을 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 서이초 사건 관련 교사집회에 참여한 경험이 있는 교사들을 대상으로 초점집단면담(FGI)을 실시하고, 그 결과를 호네트의 인정투쟁 관점에서 분석했다. 호네트는 사회적 투쟁의 윤리적 의미를 면밀하게 밝히고자 했기에, 이번 교사집회를 분석할 수 있는 유용한 틀을 제공해 줄 수 있다. 교사들의 면담을 분석한 결과 23개의 세부 내용과 9개의 하위 범주로 나눌 수 있었다. 그리고 최종 범주는 ‘육체적, 정서적 위협’, ‘교사의 권리 배제’, ‘교사 전문성 무시’로 도출되었다. 이를 통해 살펴본, 서이초 사건 관련 교사집회의 윤리적 시사점은 단순히 권리 투쟁이 아닌 교육에 대한 사회적 가치 지평을 확장하기 위한 시도이자 개개인의 존엄이 인정되는 교육 생태계 구축을 지향하고 있다는 점이 드러났다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the ethical significance and implications of the Seoi Elementary School teacher's assembly. To this end, a focus group interview (FGI) was conducted with teachers who had participated in the Seoi Elementary School teacher's assembly, and the result was analyzed from the perspective of Honneth's struggle for recognition. Honneth wanted to reveal the ethical meaning of social struggle to disappear, so it could provide a useful framework for analyzing this teacher's assembly. As a result of analyzing the interviews of teachers, it could be divided into 23 details and 9 subcategories. And the final categories were derived as 'physical and emotional threat', 'exclusion of teachers' rights', and ‘ignore of teacher expertise'. Through this, it was revealed that the ethical implications of the teacher's assembly after Seoi elementary school were not simply a struggle for the rights of the teacher group, but an attempt to expand the horizon of social values for education and to build an educational ecosystem in which individual dignity is recognized.
