본 연구는 ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니의 우울 예방을 위해, 양육스트레스와 우울의 관계에서, 부모효능감의 조절효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니 107명을 대상으로 설문조사를 수행하였고, 조절효과를 검증하기위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 그리고 부모효능감 전체의 조절효과와 부모효능감의 세 하위 요인인 부모로서의 효능감, 불안감과 좌절감, 부모 역할에 대한 관심과 흥미에 대해 각각 조절효과를 살펴보았다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상관관계 분석에서 ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스는 우울과 정적상관을, 그리고 부모효능감과는 부정상관을 나타내었다. 그리고 ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니의 우울은 부모효능감과 부적 상관을 나타내었다. 둘째, 부모효능감 전체의 조절효과를 살펴보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울과의 관계에서 부모효능감 전체는 완충적 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 부모효능감의 조절효과를 살펴보기 위해 각 하위변인별로 위계적 회귀분석을 실시한 결과, ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울과의 관계에서 부모로서의 효능감은 완충적 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울과의 관계에서 불안감과 좌절감의 강화적 조절효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니의 양육스트레스와 우울과의 관계에서 부모 역할에 대한 관심과 흥미의 완충적 조절효과는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 이 결과는, ADHD 초등학생을 둔 어머니가 양육스트레스가 과다한 상황에 처했을 때, 부모효능감 전체 및 부모로서의 효능감 향상 및 불안감과 좌절감 완화를 통해 우울을 감소시키는 방안이 될 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effect of parenting efficacy on the relationship between parenting stress and depression of mothers with ADHD children in elementary school. For this study, 107 mothers with ADHD children in elementary school were surveyed. In order to verify the moderating effect, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted. In order to verify the moderating effect, the regression analysis was conducted. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant correlation analysis in mothers with ADHD children in elementary school. The parenting stress had a positive correlation with depression. Furthermore, parenting stress and depression had a negative correlation with parenting efficacy. Second, the parenting efficacy total of mothers with ADHD children in elementary school had a significant moderating effect between parenting stress and depression. Third, the efficacy as a parent of mothers with ADHD children in elementary school had a significant moderating effect between parenting stress and depression. Fourth, parent’s anxiety and frustration of mothers with ADHD children in elementary school had a significant moderating effect between parenting stress and depression. Last, parental roles of mothers with ADHD children in elementary school did not have a significant moderating effect between parenting stress and depression. The moderating effect of the identified parenting efficacy suggests the necessity of a parenting efficacy program in the school.
