This study was initiated to address the issue of the Korean MICE industry being limited to the domestic market and the lack of global competence of human resources. Hence, this study focused on strategies to help expand the MICE industry along with efforts for internationalization. Successful international exchange and cooperation is the key to upgrading and developing the industry as a long-term growth engine. Ultimately, this study aimed to present an integrated strategies for MICE stakeholders' by deriving determinants that should be considered in advance for successful international exchange and cooperation. Through three stages of in-depth interviews, 20 factors were derived and a model with priority implementation tasks was developed through an analytic hierarchy process analysis. The results of this study are expected to play a meaningful role in MICE stakeholders' first step towards internationalization.
