본 연구의 목적은 2022 개정 교육과정에 따른 초등학교 1∼2학년군 국어 교과서 현장적합성 검토 의견을 살펴보고, 검토 의견이 실제 교과서에 어떻게 반영되었는지 알아보는 데 있다. 2022 개정 교육과정이 고시되고 초등학교 1∼2학년군 국정 교과서 개발이 진행되는 과정에서 교육부는 현장적합성 검토 작업을 전국의 초등학교 교사들의 신청을 받아 ‘현장적합성 검토 지원단’을 구성하여 시행하였다. 현장적합성 검토 지원단은 교과용 도서 중 교과서, 교과서 중에서도 <국어>에 관한 검토 의견을 많이 제시하였고, 교과서 검토 기준별로는 ‘내용의 선정 및 조직’과 ‘내용의 정확성 및 적합성’ 범주에 관한 의견이 가장 많았다. 또한, 1학년 1학기 ‘한글 놀이’ 단원에 관한 검토 의견이 가장 많았다. 현장적합성 검토 지원단의 검토 의견은 교과서 최종 본에 전부 반영, 부분 반영, 미반영 되는 양상을 보였는데, 미반영의 경우 편찬기관에서 현장적합성 검토 지원단에게 검토 의견을 미반영한 이유를 설명하는 과정이 필요하다. 현장적합성 검토 지원단은 초등학교 교과용 도서 현장적합성 검토 과정에 전국의 모든 교사가 참여할 기회를 제공했다는 점에서 그 의미가 있다. 추후 초등학교 국어 교과서 개발 시 현장적합성 검토 작업에 교사 중심의 현장적합성 검토 지원단이 꾸준히 참여해야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to examine opinions on the field suitability of Korean language textbooks for first and second grade elementary school students according to the 2022 revised curriculum and find out how the review opinions were reflected in actual textbooks. In the process of announcing the 2022 revised curriculum and developing national textbooks for 1st and 2nd grade elementary school students, the Ministry of Education organized and implemented the ‘Field Suitability Review Support Group’ upon receiving applications from elementary school teachers across the country. The Field Suitability Review Support Group presented many review opinions regarding < Korean > among textbooks, and by textbook review criteria, the most opinions were regarding the selection and organization of contents and the accuracy and suitability categories of contents. In addition, the most reviewed opinions were regarding the Hangul play unit in the first semester of first grade. The field suitability review support group’s review opinions were either fully reflected, partially reflected, or not reflected in the final version of the textbook. In cases where they were not reflected, a process was needed to explain why the review opinions were not reflected by the compilation agency. The ‘Field Suitability Review Support Group’ is meaningful in that it provides an opportunity for all teachers across the country to participate in the field suitability review process for elementary school textbooks. When developing Korean language textbooks for elementary schools in the future, a teacher-centered field suitability review support group should continuously participate in the field suitability review work.
