본 연구는 중학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 사이버불링 가해행동에 미치는 영향에서 정서 조절곤란과 공격성의 순차매개효과를 검증하였다. 이를 위해 부산과 경남 지역에 소재한 중학교 3곳에 재학 중인 중학생 1~3학년 202명을 대상으로 ‘청소년용 부모 심리적 통제 척도’, ‘정서조절곤란 척도’, ‘또래갈등 척도’, ‘사이버불링 가해행동 척도’를 사용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였으며 순차매개효과를 검증하기 위해 Hayes(2013)의 PROCESS macro를 사용하여 매개분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중학생이 지각한 높은 수준의 아버지와 어머니의 심리적 통제는 높은 수준의 사이버불링 가해행동에 영향을 미쳤다. 둘째, 중학생이 지각한 아버지와 어머니의 심리적 통제 각각은 중학생의 정서조절곤란과 공격성을 순차적으로 거쳐 사이버불링 가해행동에 영향을 미치는 순차매개경로가 확인되었다. 본 연구는 중학생이 지각한 아버지와 어머니의 심리적 통제가 사이버불링 가해행동에 미치는 기제에 대해 구체적으로 검증하고, 사이버불링 가해행동의 영향 요인을 다차원적으로 통합하여 규명하였다는 데 의의가 있다. 특히 중학생의 사이버불링 문제에 대해 개입할 때 심리내적 요인인 정서조절곤란과 공격성뿐만 아니라 환경 요인인 아버지와 어머니의 양육태도 모두를 고려하는 것의 필요성을 시사한다.
This study aimed to understand how middle school students’ perceived parental psychological control impacts their cyberbullying behavior through sequential mediation of emotional dysregulation and aggression. The subjects of this study comprised 202 middle schools students located in Busan and Gyeongnam regions. The students completed Psychological Control Scale-Youth Self-Report(PCS-YSR), The Difficulties in Emotion Regulation Scale(DERS), Peer Conflict Scale(PSC), and the Cyberbullying Experience Scale. The collected data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 and Hayes’s(2013) PROCESS Macro. The results of the analysis were as follows: First, middle school students’ perceived psychological control by both father and mother had a direct effect on their cyberbullying behavior. Second, middle school students’ perceived psychological control by both their father and mother each had significant indirect effects on cyberbullying behavior through emotional dysregulation and aggression in sequence. In conclusion, this study showed sequential medicating of middle school students’ emotional dysregulation and aggression in the relationship between middle school students’ perceived psychological control by father and mother and cyberbullying. These findings highlight the importance of giving sufficient consideration to parenting style, an individual’s psychological factors such as; emotional dysregulation and aggression, to intervene and prevent the cyberbullying amongst middle school students.
