본고에서 필자는 淸末에 출간된 王文誥의 《蘇文忠公詩編註集成》에 수록된 주석을 어떻게 평가할 것인지를 연구 주제로 삼아, 그것을 둘러싼 지금까지의 논의를 전반적으로 살펴보고, 이를 종합하여 그것의 성취와 한계에 대해서 좀 더 객관적이고 합리적인 평가 의견을 제시해 보려고 하였다. 먼저 이 책을 저본으로 출판된 中華書局版 《蘇軾詩集》의 출판 시점까지를 하나의 시기로 삼아, 馮寶圻⋅《續修四庫全書總目》⋅錢鍾書⋅孔凡禮 등이 王文誥 주석본의 주석 내용을 어떻게 평가하였는지를 살펴보았고, 다음으로 《蘇軾詩集》 출판 이후의 평가를 그 성격에 따라 부정적인 평가와 긍정적인 평가로 나누어 살펴보았다. 그리고 기존 학자들의 평가를 참조하고 필자 본인의 텍스트 분석을 곁들여, 세 가지 방면에서 王文誥 주석본의 주석 방면에서의 성취 및 한계에 대해서 면밀하게 고찰하였다. 그 결과 기존 주석의 수집과 編訂 방면에 있어서 이 책은 독창성과 엄밀성이 다소 부족하고, 기존 주석을 수용하는 태도 면에서도 문제가 얼마간 있었지만, 소식시의 깊은 의미와 그 예술 가치를 밝히는 데에는 적지 않은 성과를 거둔 점을 논의하였다.
In this paper, I made a research topic on how to evaluate the annotations contained in Wang Wengao’s Suwenzhonggongshibianzhujicheng published in the late Qing Dynasty, and tried to take a general look at the discussions so far surrounding this subject and synthesize them to present a more objective and rational evaluation opinion on the achievements and limitations of this book. First, I considered how Feng Baoqi, Xuxiusikuquanshuzongmu, Qian Zhongshu and Kong Fanli evaluated the annotations in Wang’s book until the time of publication of Sushishiji published by Zhong Hua Book Company based on this book. Next, I examined the evaluations after the publication of Sushishiji by dividing them into negative and positive evaluations according to its characteristics. Finally, I discussed the achievements and limitations of the annotations in Wang’s book in three aspects, synthesizing the previous evaluations of researchers and accompanying my own text analysis. As a result, I found that this book lacked originality and accuracy in terms of collecting and editing existing annotations, and had some problems in its attitude of accepting existing annotations, but has achieved remarkable results in revealing the deep meaning of Su shi’s poetry and its artistic value.
