본 연구는 영유아 미디어 콘텐츠 ‘핑크퐁 수동요’에 제시된 수의 하위개념 제시 양상을 분석하고 ‘핑크퐁 수동요’가 지니는 교육적 의미와 제한점을 살펴보는 데 목적을 두었다. 이를 위해 ‘핑크퐁 수동요’ 33개를 분석 대상으로 설정하고, ‘수’의 하위개념인 ‘수의 의미와 활용’, ‘수세기’, ‘수의 관계’에 근거해 내용분석을 실시하였다. ‘핑크퐁 수동요’에 제시된 수의 하위개념 양상을 살펴 본 결과, ‘핑크퐁 수동요’는 수의 의미와 활용을 가장 많이 다루고 있었고, 수세기, 수의 관계 순으로 제시하고 있었다. 둘째, ‘핑크퐁 수동요’는 수 개념에 대해 교육적으로 의미 있는 내용을 다루는 것과 동시에 제한점도 함께 지닌 것으로 분석되었다. 미디어의 특성을 활용해 이중체계 수 단어를 노랫말, 영상과 결부시켜 효과적으로 제시하고, 다양한 수세기 원리와 수 조합을 보여주었으나, 오개념 혹은 단순한 시각적 노출에 그칠 수 있다는 제한점이 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 ‘핑크퐁수동요’를 의미 있게 활용할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 질적인 보완이 요구되며, 수학적 상호작용과 같은 성인의 의도적 개입이 동시에 이루어질 필요가 있음을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the subconcept presentation patterns of numbers in the children’s media content ‘Pinkfong number song,’ and examine its educational significance and limitations. For this purpose, 33 pinkfong number songs were selected for content analysis, and examined based on the subcontents of numbers, including ‘meaning and usage of numbers’, ‘counting’ and ‘relationships between numbers’. The results revealed that the series primarily addressed the ‘meaning and usage of numbers’, followed by ‘counting’ and ‘relationships between numbers’. Additionally, the analysis showed that while ‘Pinkfong number song’ provided meaningful educational content regarding the concept of numbers, it also had limitations. Despite effectively utilizing the characteristics of media by associating numeral words with lyrics and visuals, and demonstrating various principles of counting and combinations, it was noted that there could be possible limitations, such as misconceptions or merely superficialized visual exposure. Based on these findings, this study suggested that qualitative improvements are required to meaningfully utilize ‘Pinkfong number song’, and deliberate adult intervention, such as mathematical interactions, is necessary to be applied simultaneously.
