이 연구는 제도를 통한 청소년 참여 경험이 청소년의 정치·사회적 이슈에 대한 관심 및 관용적 태도에 미치는 영향을 모색하고자 하는 목적이 있다. 특히, 청소년 참여기구를 중심으로 청소년 참여 제도의 특징을 살펴보고, 제도를 통한 청소년 참여 경험의 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 「2021 청소년의 사회·정치참여 실태조사」 자료를 활용하여, 총 2,038명(중학생 984명, 고등학생 1,054명)의 청소년을 대상으로 분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 청소년 참여기구를 통한 참여 경험은 청소년의 정치·사회적 이슈에 대한 관심을 증가시키는 것으로 확인되었으며, 관용적 태도에는 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 바탕으로 제도를 통한 청소년 참여의 중요성과 방향에 대해 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of participation in youth participation organization on interest in political & social issues and attitudes towards tolerance. In particular, using 「2021 A Survey on Youth Social and Political Participation」 data from NYPI, this study has verified the effectiveness of participation in youth participation organization. The results are as follows. First, participating in youth participation organizations has significantly effects on their interest in political & social issues. Second, it was found that the experience of youth participation organization did not significantly affect their attitudes towards tolerance. Based on the results, the importance and solutions of institutional youth participation were suggested.
