이 연구에서는 입학전형 자료에 대한 성장혼합모형(growth mixture mode) 분석을 통해 대학 입학 후 학생들의 학업성취 변화 유형에 대한 프로파일을 도출하고 이에 영향을 미치는 요인을 탐색하였다. 분석 자료는 재학 기간 경과에 따른 종단적 학업 성장 추이 분석에 초점을 두어, 수도권 소재 K대학의 최근 5개 학년도에 걸쳐 수집된 입학생의 패널 데이터를 활용하였다. 분석 결과 재학 기간 경과에 따른 대학생의 학업성취 변화 추이는 입학 연도별로 상이하게 나타났으며, 대체로 성적 변화 프로파일이 지속적으로 ‘상승’하거나, 초기 성적을 ‘유지’ 또는 ‘하락’하는 경향을 보이는 세 가지 유형으로 분류되었다. 이러한 성적 변화 프로파일에 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 성별, 전형유형, 입학점수, 소속 단과대학, 휴학 여부 등으로 각 요인의 영향력은 입학 시점별로 다르게 나타났다. 이 연구는 입학시점부터 재학 기간에 걸쳐 축적된 자료를 활용하여 대학생들의 학업성취를 종단적으로 분석함으로써 중장기적 관점에서 고등교육의 성과를 점검하고 대학생의 학업적 성장 지원을 위한 근거와 시사점을 도출하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

In the context of higher education, academic achievement of university students is considered a key indicator of educational outcomes. In this study, a growth mixture modeling approach was applied to admission data to derive profiles of changes in academic achievement and explore factors influencing these profiles. Focusing on the longitudinal analysis of academic growth trends over the course of enrollment, panel data were collected from students admitted to K University in the metropolitan area for the academic years 2018-2020. The results of the analysis showed that the trends in academic achievement varied by admission year, but the profiles of academic performance changes were generally classified into three types: continuously “rising,” “maintaining,” or “declining” from initial performance. Following the identification of profile types based on patterns of academic performance changes, factors influencing these profile classifications were explored. Gender, admission criteria, entrance scores, affiliated colleges, and whether students dropped out prematurely were found to have significant influences. This study contributes valuable information for educational performance evaluation by longitudinally analyzing students' academic growth from admission through their enrollment period using accumulated data.
