연구목적 사회통합에 대한 우려과 관심이 점증하고 있는 현실에서 이 연구는 사회통합 수준을 결정하는 데에 있어 영향을 주는 다양한 요인의 역할에 대해 검토하고 이를 실증하고자 하였다. 분석방법 성인 남녀 8,294명(만 19세 이상 69세 이하 )을 대상으로 실시한 ‘2022년 사회통합실태조사’ 데이터를 분석였다. 결과 사회적 포용, 공동체 소속감, 우리나라 정치 및 경제 상황 및 민주주의 수준에 대한 평가, 이타심 등이 사회통합에 통계적으로 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 사회적 자본의 핵심개념에 해당하는 집단 간 소통 및 정부와의 소통과 일반화된 신뢰가 사회통합에 대한 인식수준을 규정하는데 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 그리고, 사회 전반에 대한 공정성에 대한 인식이 높고 공동체의 이익을 우선시할수록 사회 통합 수준을 높게 평가하는 것으로 나타났다. 다만, 이 연구에서 포함되었던 정치참여율과 정치적 효능감은 사회통합에 부(-)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

Purpose In a situation where the concerns about social conflicts and social polarization grows, this study seeks to examine and demonstrate the role of various influencing factors in determining the level of social integration. Method Empirical analysis from ‘2022 Social Integration Survey’ reveals that social inclusion, community idendtity, evaluation of political and economic situation and level of democracy, and altruism were found to have a statistically significant impact on social integration. Results And, from a social capital perspective, communication among social groups, communication with the governments, and generalized trust were found to play an important role in determining the level of social integration. Conclusion In addtion, the higher the awareness of fairness in society as a whole and the higher the priority placed on the interests of the community, the higher the level of social integration is more likely to be appreciated. However, the political participation rate and political efficacy included in this study were found to have a negative effect on social integration.
