이 연구의 목적은 운동부 내의 특수한 문화가 스포츠선수의 윤리적 의사결정에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 분석하고 이에 따른 시사점을 도출하는 데 있다. 운동부 조직 내 윤리적 의사결정 과정과 그 과정에 영향을 미치는 문화적 특성을 알아보기 위해 일차적으로 윤리적 의사결정과 조직문화와 관련된 국내외 서적, 학술논문, 신문기사, 연구보고서 등의 문헌을 고찰하고 이차적으로 질적 연구방법 중 하나인 심층면담을 활용하여 연구자료를 수집하였다. 대한체육회에 등록된 20대 현역 엘리트 농구선수 11명의 생생한 증언과 실증적인 사례를 현상학적 방법을 통해 심층적으로 탐색함으로써 그들이 내리는 윤리적 의사결정의 특성은 무엇이고, 그들의 윤리적 의사결정에 영향을 미치는 운동부 문화의 특성은 무엇인지를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 운동부 조직문화와 스포츠선수의 의사결정 구조와의 상관관계를 파악함으로써 스포츠에서 윤리적 행동의 근간을 이해하기 위한 이론적 근거를 제시하였다. 본 연구가 스포츠선수들의 윤리적 행동의 영향요인에 대한 이해를 높이고 운동부 내 윤리적 풍토 형성을 위한 적절한 방안 마련에 일조하기를 기대한다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze how the specific culture of athletic clubs affects the ethical decision-making of athletes. To analyze the ethical decision-making process in athletic clubs and the cultural characteristics that influence the process, this study firstly reviewed books, academic papers, newspaper articles, and research reports related to ethical decision-making and organizational culture, and secondly collected research data using in-depth interviews, one of the qualitative research methods. By exploring the vivid testimonies and empirical cases of 11 elite basketball players in their 20s registered with the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee through the phenomenological method, we analyzed the characteristics of their ethical decision-making and the characteristics of the athletic club culture that influenced their ethical decision-making. This study provides a theoretical basis for understanding the roots of ethical behavior in sport by identifying the relationship between athletic club culture and athletes' decision-making structures. It is hoped that this study will contribute to the understanding of the influencing factors of ethical behavior of athletes and provide appropriate measures for the formation of an ethical climate in athletic clubs.
