본 연구는 학업중단 청소년의 진로에 관한 요인과 부모지지가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 이 결과를 토대로 학업중단 청소년의 생활만족도를 향상하기 위해 진로준비, 부모지원 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국청소년정책연구원의 ‘학업중단 청소년 패널조사’ 자료를 사용하였고 318명의 응답을 활용하였다. 인구사회학적 변인(성별, 연령대, 아르바이트 경험)에 따른 주요변수의 차이는 T검정, F검정을 실시하였고, 진로요인과 부모지지가 생활만족도에 미치는 영향력을 알아보기 위해 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 성별에 따라 진로 정보 탐색은 차이를 보였다. 연령대에 따라 부모의 경제적 지지, 부모의 정서적 지지는 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 진로요인 중 미래불안과 경제적 어려움은 생활만족도에 유의한 부적영향을 보였다. 셋째, 진로요인, 부모지지 및 생활만족도는 통계적으로 유의한 상관관계를 보였다. 넷째, 생활만족도에 대한 상대적영향력이 가장 높은 변수는 진로요인의 미래불안이며, 부모의 정서적 지지, 진로요인의 경제적 어려움 순으로 영향력이 낮아졌다. 끝으로 학업중단 청소년의 생활만족도 향상을 위한 실천 방안을 논하였으며, 연구의 제한점 및 후속연구 방향을 제시하였다.

This study aims to examine the factors related to the career paths of adolescents who have discontinued their studies and the impact of parental support on their life satisfaction. Based on these results, the purpose is to explore ways to enhance the life satisfaction of adolescents who have discontinued their studies through career preparation and parental support. For this purpose, the Korean Youth Policy Institute's ‘Panel Survey of Adolescents Who out-of-School' data was used and the responses of 318 students were utilized. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to understand the influence of career factors and parental support on life satisfaction. The research results are as follows. First, there were differences in career information exploration according to gender. Economic support from parents and emotional support from parents showed differences according to age group. Second, among career factors, future uncertainty and economic difficulties showed significant negative impacts on life satisfaction. Third, there were statistically significant correlations among career factors, parental support, and life satisfaction. Fourth, the variable with the highest relative impact on life satisfaction was the future uncertainty of career factors, followed by emotional support from parents, and economic difficulties of career factors, in decreasing order of influence.
