유성 김준곤 목사는 일일일(1.1.1) 기도운동과 양촌운동(영친운동), 10만 기독교 대학생통일봉사단, 식량은행, 북한젖염소보내기운동 등을 통해 구체적으로 통일과 북한복음화를 추진했다. 유성이 ‘한 손에는 복음을 다른 한 손에는 사랑을 들고’ 가는 쌍손선교로 하나님 사랑과 이웃사랑을 실천했기 때문에 유성의 통일운동은 성경적 방법이라고 평가할 수 있다. 유성은 통일이 하나님의 절대 주권에 있다고 믿었기 때문에 일일일 기도운동에 최우선의 삶을 살았고, 믿음을 행동으로 추진하기 위해 청년대학생들을 대학생통일봉사단으로 헌신시켰다. 식량은행을 제안하여 통일기금을 조성할 수 있도록 통일통장을 만들었고, 북한젖염소보내기운동을 통해 주민들이 스스로 자립할 수 있도록 했다. 식량은행과 젖염소보내기운동은 복음전도와 함께 민족적 책임을 감당하는 것이며 하나님 사랑과 이웃사랑을 실천하는 성경적 통일방법이라고 평가할 수 있다. 한국교회를 향한 통일과 북한복음화의 성경적 통일 방안으로 세 가지를 제시하고자 했다. 첫째, 기도운동을 통해 이끌어야 한다. 둘째, 하나님 사랑과 이웃사랑의 정신으로 이끌어야 한다. 셋째, 통일과 북한복음화에 대한 담론을 지속적으로 이끌어가야 한다는 것이다.

Pastor Yuseong Kim Joongon specifically promoted unification and evangelization of North Korea through the Daily Prayer Movement (1.1.1), the Yangchon Movement (Yeongchin Movement), the 100,000 Christian University Student Unification Volunteer Group, the Food Bank, and the Send Dairy Goats to North Korea Movement. Yuseong’s unification movement can be evaluated as a Biblical method because he practiced love for God and love for his neighbors through a two-handed mission, ‘holding the gospel in one hand and love in the other.’ Because Yuseong believed that unification lies in the absolute sovereignty of God, he devoted his life to the daily prayer movement, and dedicated young college students to the University Unification Volunteer Corps to promote faith into action. He proposed a food bank, created a unification account to raise a unification fund, and encouraged residents to become self-reliant through a campaign to send dairy goats to North Korea. The food bank and the movement to send dairy goats can be evaluated as a biblical unification method that fulfills national responsibility along with evangelism and practices love of God and love of neighbors. He sought to present three biblical plans for unification of the Korean church and evangelization of North Korea. First, we must lead through a prayer movement. Second, we must lead with the spirit of love for God and love for neighbors. Third, we must continue to lead the discourse on unification and North Korean evangelization.
