This study extracted six plant types belonging to the ‘classification of vegetables’ of 『Bencaogangmu』 from the names of medicinal herbs found in 「Wushierbingfang」, classified them according to the rules of character occurrence, and reviewed and reanalyzed the existing theories. As a result, 芍藥, 薺, 薤, 薑 confirmed the results of the previous analysis and expanded the utility value of their usage by corresponding to modern scientific names. For 芥衷莢, 葪, we were able to correct the errors in the 『Shuowen』 record and existing theories, and the application of chartered texts from other disciplines as well as literary sources was effective. However, the problem is that the records of the literature vary by region and period, and theories cannot be perfectly specified. Therefore, the results of this paper may also vary depending on the literature borrowed, so it is necessary to maintain a flexible attitude towards the results.
