본 연구는 한국교회 평신도 사역자의 사역 역량을 위한 선행 작업으로서 평신도 사역과 관련된 연구 동향을 분석하였다. 동향 분석을 통해 평신도 사역을 위한 보완 및 강화 요소를 탐색할 수 있었으며, 궁극적으로 한국교회 내 평신도 사역의 발전적 방향과 지향점이 어떠해야 하는가에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 평신도 사역 내 향후 강화해야 할 역량들을 중심으로 교육 영역별, 목회 구조별, 목회 사역별로 분류하여 연구 동향의 분포와 특성을 분석하였으며, ‘제자훈련의 목적 의식 불투명, 구역장의 사명감과 열정 부족, 목자의 교역자와 동역의식 부족, 구역장의 지역사회 리더십 부족, 평신도사역자의 제자도에 대한 인식 부족, 평신도사역의 개념 정의와 사역 범위에 대한 이해 부족’ 등의 핵심적 요소를 도출하였다.

This study analyzed research trends related to lay ministry as a prerequisite for the ministry competence of lay ministers in Korean churches. Through trend analysis, it was possible to explore complementary and strengthening elements for lay ministry, and it was intended to provide basic data on what the developmental direction and orientation of lay ministry within the Korean church. To this end, this study analyzed the distribution and characteristics of research trends by classifying them by educational area, pastoral structure, and pastoral ministry, focusing on competencies that need to be strengthened in the future within lay ministry. Through analysis result, ‘unclear awareness of the purpose of discipleship training, lack of sense on mission and passion as leader, lack of sense of co-operation, lack of community leadership of the district leader, lack of awareness of discipleship among lay ministers, lack of understanding on concept of lay ministry and scope of ministry’ were identified as key elements.
