국내 유학생의 증가와 더불어 이공계 유학생이 증가하고 있으며 뿌리산업 인증 대학도 늘어나고 있다. 하지만 초급 수준에 준하는 입학기준으로 인해 교수자와 학습자 모두 어려움을 겪고 있다. 이에 본고에서는 학습자에 맞는 전공 수업을 진행해야 한다고 생각하여 뿌리산업 대학인 K대학의 전공 수업인 소성 가공수업을 학습자 수준에 맞추어 교수·설계하였다. 언어와 전공 둘 다 중요시하는 병존 언어 교수법과 ITB모형을 선택하였다. 수업은 언어와 전공이 유기적으로 이루어질 수 있도록 하였으며 이를 위해 교수 방법을 팀티칭으로 하였다. 본 교수·설계는 실제 수업으로까지 이어지지 않았다는 점에서 한계점을 갖고 있으나 초급 수준의 학습자들에게 언어와 전공 지식을 함께 교수하도록 했다는 점에서 의의를 가진다.

The number of domestic Ppuri industry certified universities is increasing. However, both instructors and learners are struggling due to the admission criteria equivalent to the beginner level. Therefore, the ‘plastic working class’, a major class at K-University, a Ppuri industry university, was taught and designed according to the learner’s level. The coexisting language teaching method and the ITB model, which were important for both language and major, were selected. Classes allowed languages and majors to be organized. And the teaching method was team teaching. This teaching and design has limitations in that it did not lead to actual classes. However, it is significant in that learners at the beginner level are taught both language and major knowledge.
