Objectives: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of Korean medicine treatments in a patient diagnosed with patella fracture after cast removed.
Methods: A 68-year-old patient diagnosed with a patella fracture underwent a combination of Korean medicine treatments including acupuncture, pharmacoacupuncture, herbal medicine, and Continuous passive motion (CPM). The patient’s progress was assessed using the Numeric rating scale (NRS) and Range of Motion (ROM).
Results: In this case, we observed notable improvements in both NRS and ROM. The NRS score decreased from 90 to 20, and the right knee flexion ROM increased from 70 to 102.
Conclusions: This study provides evidence of the positive impact of Korean Medicine treatments on patella fractures after cast removed. Nevertheless, further research is warranted to validate the efficacy of these treatments.
