본 연구의 목적은 커뮤니티케어 실천에 있어서 사회적경제의 가능성이 어떻게 발현되는지 이해하고 점검하는 것이다. 연구 내용은 크게 두 부분으로 구성된다. 하나는 문헌고찰을 통해 커뮤니티케어라는 지향의 어떠한 특징이 사회적경제조직의 원리와 잘 부합할지 도출하고 관련 논의를 정리하는 것이다. 그 결과 사회서비스의 통합적 제공, 다양한 자원의 투입, 이용자의 권한 강화를 도출할 수 있었다. 다음으로 사례연구를 통해 위의 세 가지 측면에서 사회적경제조직들이 구체적으로 어떻게 실천하고 있는지, 또한 정부의 복지 전달체계에 머무르지 않고 새로운 서비스와 제도 형성에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 결론에서는 사례연구의 대상인 된 협동조합만이 아니라 비영리기업에도 본연구의 결과가 적용될지 논하였다.

The purpose of this study is to understand how the potential of social economy is revealed in community care practice. The study consists of two parts. One is to derive through a literature review what characteristics of the community care orientation fit well with the principles of social economy organization. The results are integrated service, mixed input, and user empowerment. Next, through a case study, this research examined how social economy organizations are specifically practicing in the three aspects above and whether they create new types of institutions and social services. In the conclusion, it is discussed whether the results of this study can be applied not only to cooperatives, which were the subject of the case study, but also to nonprofits.
