A Study on the Mediating Effect of Omnivorous Cultural Consumption and the Moderated Mediating Effect of Dance Performance Viewing Experience in the Relationship between Motivations for Cultural and Artistic Enjoyment and the Dance Art Performance Visiting Intention

This study aims to identify factors influencing omnivorous cultural consumption by exploring motivaton for cultural and artistic enjoyment. It seeks to elucidate the impact on the dance performance visiting intention through the mediating role of omnivorous cultural consumption, with a focus on the moderated mediating effect of dance performance viewing experience. Motivations is categorized into cognitive, emotional, and social aspects. Analysis of a survey with 303 participants found emotional motivations as the top factor for cultural enjoyment, significantly affecting omnivorous cultural consumption. Emotional motivations particularly explained omnivorous cultural consumption, with social motivations having the least impact. Cognitive and emotional motivation directly affected intentions to visit dance performances. The mediating effect of omnivorous cultural consumption and the moderated mediating effect of dance performance viewing experience were found as significant for all motivational factors. These findings highlight how varied cultural experiences shape intentions to attend dance performances.
