In this study, 300 hair loss patients in Daejeon and Chungcheong were investigated about the characteristics of some hair loss and their level of satisfaction with management behaviors. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 statistical program, and the results are as follows. The gender of the study subjects was 36.7% male and 63.3% female, and the highest age group was in their 50s at 48.0%. The most common cause of hair loss was mental stress at 32.8%, followed by genetic factors at 23.2%, and incorrect scalp hair management habits at 10.9%. As for the type of hair loss, female hair loss was the most common overall, and the area where alopecia occurred was the anterior head(front of the head). The hair of people with hair loss was most often thin and weak, and their overall scalp condition was most often dry. As for the degree of dandruff, dry dandruff was the highest at 22.9% in their 50s. In addition, lack of self-confidence (43.4% for men, 50.7% for women) was found to be the highest in terms of the impact of hair loss on daily life, and scalp massage was found to be the most common hair loss management behavior. The level of satisfaction with alopecia management was above average for scalp massage, use of oral hair loss treatment, use of topical medication, and hair transplant, with an average of 3.16, but the level of satisfaction with use of folk remedies was lower than average. Therefore, based on these results, the hair loss characteristics of hair loss patients in the Daejeon and Chungcheong regions showed that female pattern hair loss was the most common. The most common hair loss management behavior was scalp massage, and the level of satisfaction was above average. The use of folk remedies was found to be lower than average. Therefore, it is believed that the results can be used as basic data for research in this field.
