This study was conducted to investigate the impact of dance instructors' leadership style on the dance achievement of Korean dance major students in art middle schools, with the aim of providing effective coaching styles to Korean dance instructors.
To achieve these research objectives, a sample of 123 Korean dance major students currently enrolled in art middle schools located in Seoul, Jeollabuk-do, and Gyeonggi-do province, where dance departments are established as of 2023, was selected as the study population.
Based on the collected data, t-test and one-way ANOVA were conducted to analyze the differences in dance instructors' leadership styles and dance achievement according to demographic characteristics. Additionally, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis were conducted to examine the impact of dance instructor' leadership styled on dance achievement.
Through this study, we were able to understand the differences in leadership styles of dance instructors according to demographic characteristics, differences in dance achievement, and the influence of leadership styles on dance achievement. In future research, qualitative studies are hoped to be conducted to facilitate a deep understanding of the relationship between leadership styles of instructors and various variables related to dance achievement.
