이 연구는 단편 드라마를 활용한 자기성찰적 글쓰기 교육 사례에 대한 설계 및 분석을 통해 자기성찰적 글쓰기의 새로운 교육 방향을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 자기성찰적 글쓰기를 비롯한 표현적 글쓰기는 학술적 글쓰기에 비해 비형식적이며 개인의 감상이 주가 된다는 점에서 대학 교양 글쓰기에서 적은 비중으로 다루어지는 경향이 있다. 또한 성찰의 과정이 낯선 학생들에게는 개인의 ‘경험’에 천착하여 글을 쓰는 과정이 부담될 수 있다. 이러한 문제의식에 기반하여 이 연구에서는 대학생들에게 자기성찰적 글쓰기가 왜 교육되어야 하는지 표현적 글쓰기에 대한 이론적 논의를 바탕으로 제시하고 연구자가 설계한 수업을 학생들에게 적용한 뒤, 자기성찰적 글쓰기의 양상과 학생들의 인식을 질적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과를 통해 드라마를 활용한 자기성찰적 글쓰기가 학생들에게 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지 확인할 수 있었다. 이로써 본 연구는 표현적 글쓰기와 관련한 이론들에 대한 점검을 통해 자기성찰적 글쓰기가 지향해야 하는 바를 분명히 하였다는 점에서 교육적 의의가 있으며, ‘드라마’라는 매개체를 활용한 자기성찰적 글쓰기가 학생들의 글쓰기 과정에 도움을 줄 수 있다는 점을 실제 사례를 통해 제시했다는 점에서 대학 교양 글쓰기에 기여하는 바가 있다고 본다.

This study aims to propose novel approaches to teaching reflective writing by presenting and analyzing a case study utilizing short dramas. Expressive writing, particularly self-reflective writing, often receives less attention in university liberal arts courses because it is more informal and personal than academic writing. In addition, students who are unfamiliar with the reflective process may find it daunting to delve into their personal experiences for writing purposes. Addressing these challenges, this study advocates for the integration of self-reflective writing into university curricula based on theoretical frameworks of expressive writing. It involves implementing a lesson plan designed by the researcher and qualitatively analyzing the aspects of self-reflective writing and student perceptions. The results highlighted the impact of using dramas for reflective writing among students. This study holds educational significance as it elucidates the objectives of self-reflective writing through theoretic exploration of expressive writing. Furthermore, it contributes to the field of university liberal arts writing by demonstrating, through practical examples, how self-reflective writing facilitated by dramas can help students in their writing process.
