인공지능과 같은 인간 유사성을 목적으로 하는 현대기술의 첨단화로 인하여 인간과 기술의 상호 지향성·유사성·결합성·연결성 등이 가속화되면서 기술과의 관계 속에서 인간의 의미를 재구성하는 인간학적 물음이 속출하고 있다. 다만 포스트휴머니즘이나 트랜스휴머니즘과 같은 물음의 흐름은 대체로 인간의 기술화로부터 촉발되고 있어 현대 사회에서는 인공지능 시대의 기술의 인간화라는 성격도 잘 포괄할 수 있는 휴머니즘이 요구된다. 그에 따라 본 연구는 기술 사회로부터 야기된 인간학적 과도기에서 기술의 인간화에 관한 표상으로 대표될 수 있는 디지털 휴먼이 단순히 기술적 대상이라는 지위를 극복하여 여타의 휴먼 담론처럼 ‘디지털휴머니즘(Digital Humanism)’이라는 인간학적 의미를 어떠한 방식으로 구성할 수 있는지 탐구한다.

Due to the advancement of modern technologies aimed at human similarity, such as artificial intelligence, the mutual orientation, similarity, combination, and connectivity between humans and technology is accelerating. At the same time, anthropological questions are pouring in to reconstruct the meaning of humans in their relationship with technology. However, the flow of questions such as posthumanism and transhumanism are usually triggered by the technologicalization of humans. Therefore, a humanism that can well encompass the nature of humanization of technology in the era of artificial intelligence is required. And digital humans are represented as a symbol of humanization of technology in the anthropological transition brought about by technological society. Accordingly, this study explores how digital humans can overcome their status as mere technical objects and construct the anthropological meaning of ‘digital humanism’ like other human discourses.
